A synopsis having been provided in other reviews here, I would add for those interested in how this book reads, that while the writing is never passionate, indeed occasionally uninteresting, Zinovieff's style has a certain quiet slyness that captivates. I will be using it a lot in my class and maybe even when I am a teacher. Look forward to the next book. Nik Colyer is a force to be reckoned with as a writer.
