It is set in the distant past and takes the reader on a journey with The People through the frozen tundra of the north, but their journey is on hold until a murder, or two, can be solved. This is another magical (or magickal, in this case) trilogy of 6 people with secrets who come together, each individuals who have learned to be open to their own abilities, but closed to trust or, at least, to working with others. Since I love books too, I picked up a bunch of Usborne books and love them all. After reviewing over 600 books, this is only the second time I've accepted a free copy for review and (so far) I'm batting a thousand. However I do recommend this book especially for the South Asian in urban areas dealing with identity.
